::Its a good capital city airport. I found that the Air Nuigini staff were so helpful and accommodating when I ran into difficulties over flight cancellation. They were easy to rearrange with, and provided a nice night's stay at the Holiday Inn, with dinner included. Security can sometimes be picky, but you get that everywhere.

::Boeing 747 - 400 aircraft has been landing at Jacksons Airport since the late 70's. I believe AirBus 380 will land here too. (Where 747's go AirBus will go or vice versa, correct me if I am wrong). Read about Jacksons Airport, it will tell you more about its capability to accomodate larger aircraft. I believe Air Force one will land at Jacksons Airport in November of 2018. The late Michael Jackson landed at Jacksons Airport on Air Niugini Airbus A320 which he hired sometimes in the 80's. He said that the airport was named after him - probably jokingly. (The airport was actually named after a Capt Jacksons whose plane was shot down during world war 2. He never survived the second time). Read more about Jacksons on The National of April 28, 2017 by Gynnie Kero The Airport both domestic and international have had a major face lift and appears to be looking and feeling better than before but there is still a need for futher improvements to be done. Upgrading the terminal is one thing but improving the services is another thing.

::I'm honestly have never gone there, but according to the datas that I've read, the airport should increase the runway's length so the airport can provide the larger aircrafts, like Airbus A330 or Boeing 777.

::The Port Moresby airport has undergone major projects over the last couple decades that have transformed it from a 3rd world airport into a world class airport that offers travelers a unique but comfortable experience.
