Awesome feelings been here during Ramadhan Friday prayer. Bought some halal chicken as per the imam. Would love to comeback again soon. Need some improvement though.

I am so grateful for being able to visit and perform Friday prayer at this mosque last March. Our embassy staff took us to this mosque and shared some information about the muslim community in PNG particularly in Port Moresby. It is located not so far from the city and it has a large parking lot. Some local vendors offer fresh produces and I saw some people bought some vegetables and fruits. The mosque was packed by many muslim worshippers from different countries including some local people. I think further renovation is needed in making the mosque a more comfortable place particularly the ablution area and toilet. Also by installing AC since the electric fans were simply not enough. The sermon was delivered in English with some Arabic by a permanent imam from African origin. It didn’t take long and after about thirty minutes, it ended, so I approached the imam, shook his hand and greeted him on my way back to the car.

I only visited that place because of the roadside stall that sells pork n lamb cuts for quick lunch. Otherwise you'd be worried if that mosque serve its purpose to breeds future islamic extremists

Who would have guessed there's a mosque in Port Moresby. It is the only mosque in the city and affectionately known as the "Muslim Church" to the locals. Was there on a Friday and met many muslims who worked in the city from all over the world - Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan etc. The Imam was a friendly local Papua New Guinean. Was glad to see some commerce going on before the Friday prayer. Kinda like a farmers' market but at a very small scale. On sale were vegetables, fruits and sometimes, I was informed, halal chicken.
